We wanted great Italian food. What we got was fair to poor Italian food. First the look of place was great. The service was poor almost like if they did not care that we came for diner. For the villages this is bad. Because we love carabaras and the good service. We disappointed. I think a great manager could turn this place around maybe. But after we left all we could say is we wish we when to carabaras. Will not go again.

Food was delicious, service was fast and extremely friendly. My waiter was Cavin, who was superb. I would definitely come back!

So, after riding the bike all day, we were starving and walked in just as the kitchen was closing. Calvin the bartender asked the kitchen to make 2 more meals and they graciously accommodated us. The Chilean Sea Bass was awesome! They have Happy Hour all day and specials on the Drink of the Day. There's a fabulous bar on the patio and the patio itself is comfortable and fairly large.

This was the worst service I have had in as long as I can remember. The food isn't even worth commenting about as you may never receive it. Drinks took 15 minutes to start, bread followed about 30 minutes later. Needless to say that food took a good hour. Never had our drinks refilled....ever. Avoid this place, it wasn't even busy.

The bread was shameful for a supposed eye-talian joint. The Caesar salad was under dressed and smothered in cheese creating a very dry salad. My chicken franciase (sp) was tasty but only one piece of chicken and a pathetic amount if angel hair. My wife ordered filet tips with risotto. It looked like a soup. Overall C- And don't let me forget the tacky sticky vinyl table cloth. Lol. Skip this joint for sure. Not worth it. Oh. And as I was leaving I noticed a fly in the middle of an ice cube. Never ever again.

This place is wonderful. The food is nice and fresh. We came in on whim. The first time and really enjoyed it. The waiter had noticed that we were really burning up because of how hot it was and pretty much kept the tea and water flowing for us. We had the buffet and loved the selection that they had. Always bringing out fresh food making sure it didn't get to old in us. The wait staff and management there were all very nice and helpful. The second we came back was just as good as the first time. Really nice wait staff. Gave us some really good suggestions. They have a nice thin and crispy style pizza, but you can't go wrong with their chicken Caesar salad. Every time we go to The Villages this is a place that we will come for a late lunch. Worth trying out for yourself.

Went here for dinner and they didn't have any kids menus available to give. I ordered the cheese ravioli ($14) after stating that I'd just split my food with my son then. 5 ravioli was all that was on the plate. They were delicious, but 5?! The bread was hot, but tasted and looked like something you could pick up at the grocery store. The house salad that game with my meal was pretty good, but the balsamic "vinegarette" was thick and sludge like. I won't be rushing back.

We had dinner here several months ago and were very disappointed. We had company from up North and decided to give it another try. We were unfortunately disappointed again. The place is really nice. It's right in the square at Spanish Springs. The service was great this time. Our waiter was Jamie and he provided good service. The bread was great it was hot and fresh. The salads were just ok. All four dinners were not good. My husband had shrimp penne ala vodka. It had much to much garlic in it and just didn't taste good. My granddaughter had ravioli and there were a few ravioli covered with way too much sauce. My granddaughter also had the Lava cake which she enjoyed. We had peach tarts which came with our meal that were unexciting and not worth the calories. I gave two stars for the location and the ambiance

We went there as part of an outing of The Second Honeymoon Club of The Villages - we filled the restaurant and had a great buffet. Everything was excellent, especially the fish in lemon sauce. We'd been there three or four times in the past, always for their theme buffets, and the food has always been excellent.

Went on a night they had a buffet. Was pleasantly surprised - food was very tasty with a lot of variety. Prices are very good - including a healthy glass of Cabernet $4.

5 of us went here for Christmas day - 1 being handicap-we ask for a table near the buffet -we were put back the furthest away. The food was cool - not hot - some being warm - we ask for butter and she directed us to the buffet bar - we all ordered a drink-and 1 guest ask for another - it was brought when he was about finished his meal- he told her to take it back-the busboys picked up our plates- the Kicker - the price of the buffet was 27.00 each - and when the bill came they had put a 18%tip on each of our bills. Therefore with poor service or none at all - bad food none of us will ever go back, and we are local residence. This waitress received 30.00 for doing nothing. I would give this a below average rating if possible.

Although the food was good, our service was slow. We never were served any bread. It took a long time to be acknowledged at our table and it was the same to get the check at the end of the meal. My biggest gripe is that my daughter and I split a ravioli and we were charged a $4 split plate charge! Who does that? I think the prices are high for average Italian food. Not sure we will go back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
